Why did I choose Fort Myers Beach?

Thanks for stopping by and taking time to tour my site. My name is Rhonda and I came to Fort Myers Beach when I was working a storm back in 1994. I decided that one day I wanted to live in this paradise. So hurricane Charlie came through  in 2004 I was deployed here, I purchased this property and have been living in Paradise at my “Island Hideaway” ever since.
It was badly damaged and in need of lots of TLC. It took two years of working every day very long hours to get it where it is today. All the work was done personally, no contractors or outside help. So when you come visit please know that each detail was completed with lots of sweat equity and a dream it would one day be a luxurious home away from home for each of you. This is my home; please come and enjoy it and treat it as your own.

I love the beach! Fort Myers Beach has so much to offer, it is one of the Top Ten Beaches of the So I felt this was the perfect place to create a luxury get away for others to enjoy.
I do live here most of the year but, I am also a storm adjuster so during storm season I will be out on the road working for months at a time, traveling from one disaster to another. Just knowing I get to come back here makes it all worthwhile.

I have put my personal touch on each one of these suites. Comfort is #1, Bed linens are the same ones used at many Five Star Resort and Spas. My goal is for you to fee at “home” while you are here. ENJOY!

I am a lover of nature and strive to live as “green” as possible. Here at #1 Island Hideaway we recycle all newspaper, plastics and glass. We use natural and organic whenever possible. We are currently striving to achieve our GREEN certification. We use reclaimed rain water to water our plants and grass and we use low flow toilets and water saving appliances. We are environmentally friendly.

Most people work all year long to save enough vacation time to go somewhere really special with their loved ones to make lifelong memories. I am blessed to wake up every morning in Paradise.

My favorite is early morning bikes rides on the beach when the dolphins are swimming. Kayaking in the bay waters is so peaceful, and if you have never fished from a kayak, it rocks.

Just sitting on the beach with your toes in the sugar soft sand… is truly heaven on earth. Hope you take time out of your busy life to come and spend some time at our “Island Hideaway”
We will see you on the beach – soon!
